7 Days and Counting...

Haven't the last 2 Months flown by! Can you believe that Sale-a-bration 2012 is almost at it's end. I have really enjoyed trying out and demonstrating the different stamps and I will miss the Everyday Enchantment Papers as they are BEAUTIFUL:. My favourite Stampin' Up! papers ever!I will be sad to see them go. But I'm sure Stampin' Up! will have something equally fabulous to reward all our wonderful customers with next month:)
Friday was my last SAB party and I demo'd a set of 3x3 cards using the sprinkled expressions SAB set. I must admit that I wasn't keen on this set when I first saw it but since using it and having seen the great projects other people have made with it I've seen what a versatile little set it is. I CASE'd the flower card from the SoShelli blog and worked the other cards on the same theme, these were my Hostess gift in a little presentation box, which I hope my wonderful Hostess was pleased with.

For the Make 'n' Take I showed them how to make these cute little Easter baskets. I used the Bigz Scallop Square Die to cut out the base of the basket and then they had the choice to either stamp a design onto the paper or to emboss it using one of my gorgeous embossing folders (which everyone chose to do, they were all very excited to get to try out the fabulous BigShot:) My Hostess has been Ummming and Ahhhing about getting one so I decided to do a project that showcased it. And she was hooked!
The last day you can order to qualify for the free SAB stamp sets is the 31st of March. Just order a minimum of £45 of Stampin' Up! goodies and you can pick a stamp set from the SAB selection or those beautiful papers. Contact me for information on how to order.

To My Mother

A bit late I know (a bit early if you're in the US) but I wanted to thank my Mother for being the wonderful Mum that she is. She has always been an inspiration and a light in my life. Thank you for teaching me to be an independent woman, thank you for teaching me right from wrong, to care for others and to open up my heart and home to those in need, thank you for nurturing my love of crafts and for encouraging me to try new things, thank you for making a home where we loved and enjoyed each others company, where our friends wanted to be and where people always felt welcome. I love you with all my heart: now and always! I hope you liked your card:))) Below is a page I made up using the same layout. I'm loving 6x6 pages at the moment. They're so quick to do but look so cute :)

Supplies: Card stock: Rich Razzleberry, Marina Mist, Whisper White. DSP Blushing Bride. Metallic Brads. Linen Twine. Broadsheet Stamp set, Rich Razzleberry Ink. Scallop Edge Punch.

Happy Birthday to Hulk and the Fairy!

Yesterday I spent the afternoon surrounded by pint size fairies and super heroes. It was my Niece and Nephew's joint birthday party, which meant crazy kid music, balloons, and an abundance of the beige buffet food that makes my other half so happy! My Nephew is currently mad on Pokemon which is surreal as they were popular when I was younger... I made him a Pikachu card. It was so quick to do but he recognised who it was straight away so it can't have been too bad o_0
I don't have many circle punches yet so I drew around a 2p coin and a 5p coin and cut them out free hand.

My Niece is like most little girls her age, obsessed with princesses! I really let my creative juices flow and created a Princess Punch Art card. The skirt I had seen on SplitCoastStampers and I built the rest up from there. I love it and almost didn't give the card away, I was very close to doing her another one :) I'm gutted this is such a bad picture, but it was late when I finished and I wanted to get a quick snap before I crashed for the day.

(Supplies: Builder Bird Punch, Beautiful Wings Embosslit, Boho Blossoms Punch, Circle Punch.)
For the birthday girl, I made her this little head band. I love these flower head bands on little girls but alas my sweet one refuses to wear anything on her head so I have to make do enjoying them on other peoples daughters :))))

Chick, chick, chick, chick, chicken!

Just a quick post tonight to share what I whipped up for a last minute 'Easter' themed activity for my Church Ladies Group that meets once a month. We decided to get in early to avoid the last minute rush that inevitably happens before each Holiday. Tonight we made Easter themed cupcakes. (well half did cupcakes while the other half did aerobics...but I don't do jumping around!) I showed them how to make coconut nests, marshmallow sheep and these little baby chick cake toppers. I'll try and put a quick tutorial together and post it tomorrow. They're so easy and quick to make.I think he's a really cute little guy :)

And breathe...!

I am ever so slightly comatose today after a few very hectic days. I have been busy, busy, busy but in a really good way: Demonstrating to others what I love about Stampin' Up! My Mum was very excited when she found out I had signed up as a demonstrator as I'd infected her with the Stampin' Bug and was the first person in line to be one of my Hostesses. Yesterday I had the pleasure of an afternoon of stamping and crafting with a group of ladies who I have known for so long they are like Aunts to me and it was great to get to share excellent products, gossip and to craft with people that I care so much about. Best of all Mum earned loads of free products and 2 Sale-a-bration sets; that should keep her out of trouble for a while. I demonstrated to the group the wonders of the Sizzix BigShot machine using the Pillow Box Bigz Die, the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, and the Party Blossoms Die (from the Spring mini) just to show how quickly and easily you can whip up a lovely gift or favour for someone. Then as a group we made the Fresh Vintage card that I posted last week. It's always so interesting to see that even though everyone is following the same design, each card is completely different and unique just like them :)

Supplies: BigShot Die cutting Machine, Pillow Box Die, Party Blossom Die, Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder, Marina Mist Taffeta Ribbon, Very Vanilla Satin Ribbon, Striped Grosgrain Ribbon, Marry Me Stamp Set, Scallop Circle Punch, 1 1/4" circle Punch, Scallop Border Punch, Decorative Label Punch, Marina Mist, Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry Card stock/ink.

Remember if you want to order any of the products used here, or would like more infomation about how you could earn extra money doing what I'm doing, just drop me a line, I'll be happy to help :)))
